I joined Auburn University's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) in August 2017. This organization helps students gain hands-on experience through club involvement and on-campus campaigns. Each meeting has allowed me to further my public relations knowledge through advice from professional practitioners, faculty and other students.
Project Uplift's goal is to help children develop constructive, happy lives in order to decrease the delinquency rate in the United States. I became involved with this organization in November 2014. Through Project Uplift, I have had the opportunity to mentor two at-risk youth from the Lee County area on a weekly basis. I have also had the opportunity to train new volunteers on the procedures of Project Uplift.
I served as an ambassador for Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn University. My position with Tigers Unlimited, the official Fundraising Foundation of the Auburn Tigers, allowed me to work closely with donors to provide a pleasureable experience at all home football games. I, along with the other Jordan-Hare Stadium Ambassadors, was responsible for managing gameday operations in scholarship satellite stations throughout the stadium.
